[Open Call] ISE FENIX PROJECT Vol.2

The second edition of the ISE FENIX PROJECT (an international urban design and build workshop), will take place in March of 2026.

Applications are now open to students and professionals in all related fields. The deadline for application is January 11. 

The workshop is free of charge as well as the accommodation in ISE CREATER's GARAGE. We are warmly awaiting your applications. 

ISE FENIX PROJECT This project, aimed at revitalizing the historic city of Ise, home to the Ise Grand Shrine, was initiated by Zdeňka Němcová Zedníčková of the Technical University of Liberec, in collaboration with Meijo University and the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. The Czech Centre Tokyo also supports and participates in this project.

In March 2025, the first workshop brought together 15 students from 6 countries. Students created both immediate tactical interventions and long-term visions, presenting their proposals directly to local citizens and municipal representatives. 

For the Vol.2, scheduled for March 2026, the project is seeking architecture, urban planning, landscape architecture, art and design students passionate about sustainable urbanism, community engagement, and hands-on building.
